Laman housing: located at Newcastle CBD with ocean view to second stories. close to contemporary art district, landmark architectures and parks. The objective of this architecural development is to creat a contemporary landmark to suit local art culture, increase city's attraction to tourists, enrich activity in the city, maxim units on site and carparking to comply DCP requirments.
The whole design inspired by 'tree house' concept. By elevating houses in the air and Houses are supported by posts that placed unevenly across the site. This provide intresting effect on the ground level as well as above ground. It maximise usable space both on ground courtyards and floor spaces. The construction are using contemporary perfabrication methods that provide cost effective result and also emphasise contemporary idea that within this project.
